About JAICAF
JAICAF is a non-profit organization under the joint jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
The Association aims to contribute to the development of the global economic society, by the commitment to activities in the following three areas;
the promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and foreign countries in the domains of food and agriculture; the activities to facilitate the smooth and effective implementation of international collaboration in agriculture and forestry; and the emergency food assistance.

Japan International Agricultural Council (JIAC) is established.

JIAC adds the activity of Emergency Food Assistance

JIAC and AICAF merge to form JAICAF.
AICAF: Association for International Cooperation for Agriculture and Forestry
JAICAF: Japan Association for International Collaboration for Agriculture and Forestry

Japan FAO Association merges into JAICAF.
